With proof of Alhama, the 9th of Murcia League 2016 season, counselors have enjoyed a Saturday afternoon in the new map by Juan Fco Sanchez in May 2016, a map ISOM 1. 10,000 Regional Park Espuña just 6 kilometers from Alhama de Murcia, has been the great attraction of the race.
The area bounded by this new map is located in the foothills of the eastern slope of the Sierra Espuña, in the area known Calares Juana, bounded on the east by the canal service road of the Tajo-Segura, the north by the channel of the rambla de Campix and south-east areas of crops.
All central and eastern map highlighted by a smooth relief furrowed by small valleys predominantly NW-SE direction in which the presence of numerous cairns formed by the accumulation of stones stands.
The hilly area of ​​more altitude of this new mapping terrain is found in the eastern part thereof, where also the area with rockier details, mainly on the side of stripping the service road channel Tajo-Segura appears.
The network of roads and paths is sparse and limited to the peripheral area of ​​the map, despite which there are plenty of linear elements, without roads or paths, have been used to move between the controls, such as pipes surface and firewalls, elements that have been used in the lower tracings and OPEN categories.
The forest, dotted with light and with a virtually nonexistent shrubbery, is pine of repopulation, high bearing and pruning that has allowed a great running speed.
