In Totana, it has the Center for Child Development and Early Intervention, which is a public institution of municipal character dependent on the City Council and funded by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
At this center attended by children between 0 and 6 years who have any kind of alteration in its development or biological or social risk for the condition, receiving treatment, stimulation and / or counseling.
Currently the center serves 233 children, and its objective, the prevention and the development of the potential of each child, facilitating their integration, personal autonomy and welfare.
The Socialist councilor, Gertrudis Ruiz said that, with this motion, the Municipal Socialist Group demands that EI will continue to consider as a public, universal and free service for all children 0 to 6 years in need.
At the same time, it urges the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities, that you have obtained the / professional Centers Early Care and the equipment specific Educational and Counseling Early Care for the preparation of this Act, as these they are professionals who work daily with these children, assessing, diagnosing and detecting their educational needs.
With all this, it is a priority and necessary that a law that starts with the consensus of all these professionals develop.
