The proposal was approved by all municipal groups, something that the Socialist councilor, Gertrudis Ruiz, considered positive "because, all must be sensitized to the problems of these women who suffer physical and / or psychological abuse at the hands of their partners, It is essential that the authorities provide all the resources geared to promote their access to a normal life, including, no doubt, who have decent housing. "
From the Municipal Socialist Group work being carried out by professionals Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Totana City Council, composed of a lawyer, a psychologist and a worker is valued very positively social, and is being funded by the Directorate General of Family and social Policies.
One thing to note is that the working hours of these professionals is extended to this year 2016, as the socialist parliamentary group presented an amendment to the regional budgets requesting an increase of the heading municipalities of 154,075 €, intended to cover the costs wage derived from hiring these professionals, being supported by all parliamentary groups except the Popular Party.
