Deadline Extended for barbecues in Sierra Espuņa until next May 31

Civil Protection in Totana reports that it has extended the deadline for barbecues in the regional park Espuņa until next May 31, a period to be established officially ban on fires in recreational areas throughout the different natural landscapes.

Therefore, from this date may not perform any type of fire in barbecues located in recreational areas scattered Espuņa or use camping-gas for cooking in the bush until October, under the measures contained in INFOMUR Plan.

Initially, the completion date for barbecues ended today, but the weather conditions allow to extend it another two weeks.

Civil Protection reiterates the collaboration of all users and visitors to the Sierra de Espuņa in order to avoid unpleasant accidents on the natural environment.

The main objective of the Plan of Civil Protection Emergency Wildfires Murcia (INFOMUR Plan) is to establish the hierarchical and functional organization in order to protect people, property and the environment.

The scope of this Plan extends to the entire territory of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and therefore are integrated into it, the Municipal Emergency Plans by forest fires, such as Totana.
