The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, and the councilors of Human Resources and Economic Development and Development and Employment, and Antonia Gertrudis Ruiz Camacho, have closed the Joint Employment and Training Program "geriatric care for dependent people in social institutions."
The initiative has been developed in recent months in the CLD (CDL) Totana, although they have received training and educational outputs and practices in different public schools in the municipality.
The councilor of Training and Employment highlighted the great work that students have done in the various centers of Totana program where workers have made their practices.
These have been the Day Center for seniors "Balsa Vieja", the Center for Alzheimer's Day, the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moya", the Day Center for Persons with Mental Illness and Residence " Purisima "in this town.
For its part, the mayor stressed the importance of these programs implemented in the municipality aimed at training people in new sources of employment as geriatric care and announced that he will continue to work in this training camp.
Both thanked the student-workers participation and the degree of involvement and collaboration of monitors and responsible for it.
This Joint Employment-Training program has been conducted under a grant received from the Employment and Training Service (SEF), with a duration of one year and a total of 1920 hours, of which 370 hours are theoretical and practical 1,478 .
Its objective was to improve the employability of the unemployed through participation in works or services of public utility or social interest, contemplates the realization of specialties that have the certificates of professionalism.
