Councillor for Social Welfare Unit and Immigration, Javier Baņos, has left the presidency of the Association of Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disability Totana (PADISITO), after nine years in office to focus their efforts on managing their areas totanero city in the Consistory.
Javier Baņos has held this position since 2007 and will be replaced by the former treasurer, Antonia Canovas Caro, as agreed unanimously at the annual general meeting held last week.
The council took a tour of his years in office and thanked the people, partners, companies and collaborators who have contributed, along with the outgoing board, to maintain the level of activities and services for the group of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Totana.
He also stressed its readiness to continue supporting and fighting to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families from his position as mayor in the city of Totana.
