Dr. Alessandra Gambineri is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine and Surgery (DIMEC) of the University of Bologna, Italy since 2017. She currently holds the position of associate professor in the same department since 2010. In 2002 she obtained the degree Specialist in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Bologna, and the Doctorate in Experimental Clinic and Medical Sciences in 2009, at the University of Verona, Italy.

She is responsible for the "Steroid Disorders Research Group" section at her University supervising a team of 5 people, with deep experience in the design and management of clinical trials. The main topics of interest are steroids, the interaction between steroids and metabolism, and the pharmacological treatment of hyperandrogenic disease.

He has published several international articles in this field and has participated in several research projects.

Gambineri is also responsible for the UO of Polyclinic Endocrinology Sant'OrsolaMalpighi di Bologna and for the insertion of patients suffering from rare diseases in the register of rare diseases created by the Emilia-Romagna Region for these pathologies.
