The Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition (SEEN) and the International Association of Relatives and Affected of Lipodystrophies (AELIP) signed a collaboration agreement on October 16 taking advantage of the framework of the 60th SEEN Congress.
The annual Congress of the SEEN is the most important activity of this society.
It constitutes a meeting point for partners and other professionals related to endocrinology and is the forum where the most relevant scientific advances in Endocrinology and Nutrition are presented and discussed, with the active participation of partners and with top-level speakers .
Signing of the agreement
The president of AELIP Naca Pérez de Tudela and the president of the SEEN Irene Bretón signed on Wednesday a collaboration agreement to help in the dissemination of the training material that AELIP makes available to health professionals to help in the diagnosis and treatment of infrequent lipodystrophies.
SEEN's commitment is to carry out actions aimed at:
- Assist in the dissemination of visibility activities with people with lipodystrophies and their families through the AELIP Association.
- Distribution and assistance in the dissemination of training material in Lipodystrophies as the diagnostic and treatment guide in infrequent lipodystrophies and the guide to nutrition and dietetics among those associated with the SEEN.
- Distribution and assistance in the dissemination of training material in Lipodystrophies as the diagnostic and treatment guide for infrequent lipodystrophies and the guide to nutrition and dietetics among primary care physicians
- Facilitate a free stand at the congresses of the SEEN to AELIP.
In order to make visible the pathology and be able to distribute training material among those attending it
- Support campaigns to support research in Lipodystrophies.
The president of AELIP, thanked the SEEN for the signing of this agreement that will ensure, among others, that all the work that AELIP develops around increasing knowledge about the pathology comes to fruition.
