Collective for Social Promotion “El Candil” carries out the first “Brunch & Meeting” held in the municipality of Totana, based on a breakfast-meeting between businessmen and participants of the “AVANZA: creation of mutual support networks for improvement of employability ”, financed by Obra Social“ La Caixa ”, whose main objective is to improve the level of employability and socio-labor insertion of the participants, enhancing skills that allow them to achieve adequate personal-social functioning and access to the working world, through adequate and guided training, in order to leave the situation of social vulnerability in which they find themselves.

The meeting was held on October 11, 2019, in the Business Nursery of Totana, located in the Industrial Park "El Saladar".

At the welcome and presentation table, we had the honor of having the presence of Mr. Javier Baos Tudela, Councilor for Social Welfare and Equality of the City of Totana, Mr. Jos Carlos Mena Molina, Director of the "La Caixa" Office of Totana and Mr. Francisco Romero Garca, Director of the Office of the Employment and Training Service of Totana.

Thank you for your assistance and participation in this event.

Later, Mr. Riccardo Cardellini, Endesa Activities Coordinator, made a presentation of good practices in the field of socio-labor inclusion, in which he transferred the experience of the Soltec company regarding the hiring of people at risk of social vulnerability for construction of the photovoltaic plant in the Polgono de Totana, for which more than 100 unemployed people in the municipality were hired, thus facilitating their access to the world of work.

Then, in a relaxed atmosphere, “Employment Tables” were carried out, in which project participants and businessmen from the area transferred training and motivational experiences, requirements of the jobs that are generated, among many other issues.

In short, there was a space to meet potential employees, breaking prejudices and stereotypes and generating positive attitudes towards hiring vulnerable people.

The event ended with the general conclusions of the "Employment Tables", which were very positive and with a "Brunch" that was tasted among all attendees.

Finally, thank all the companies attending the event: Trasiego Bar, Limcamar, Clece, Azurita, Cooperativa Consum, Eurofirms, Endesa and Soltec, without which this network would not have been possible.

Also to the City Council of Totana, for giving us the classroom of the Business Nursery where the event was held and the Local Development Agency for its involvement in the day.
