The Department of Sports, in collaboration with the two Health Centers of Totana, launched last March the "Active Totana" health program, which is developed from the Ministry of Health with the collaboration of Murcia municipalities.
In this way and after the summer break, the program, whose patients are referred by the Totana Health Centers, starts tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1;
with the 115 patients who were going to class in June, while in the following weeks the new patients will be incorporated.
This program is made up of patients who need physical exercise, either due to sedentary or mild heart disease, and who are referred from the Health Centers to the Department of Sports, and immediately incorporated into the database.
The program currently has three shifts:
1st Shift, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
2nd Shift, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
3rd Shift, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Classes are taught at the "La Cárcel" Municipal Gymnasium through duly qualified personnel hired by the Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia.
Patients perform adapted physical activity and follow up on assistance that will allow them to leave those who cannot go, and to be able to incorporate new patients soon.
