The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, has held a meeting with the president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Mario Urrea, in which various issues related to the management of water resources that are the responsibility of the body of basin in this municipality.

This is the first meeting since his arrival in office between the councilor of Totana and the president of the CHS, who the mayor thanked the diligent way in which he has attended this request for an interview on very complicated dates for him after the consequences of the devastating storm of torrential rains that hit the Region of Murcia last week.

Among the issues that both institutional representatives have addressed, the situation of the project is the Dam in the Rambla de Lébor, the damage of the DANA in the municipality of Totana and the prevention and cleaning of the Ramblas after the storm.

In addition, other issues have been addressed, such as the situation of the Guadalentín River in terms of pollution and fumigation of mosquitoes and environmental maintenance, or the urgent action in the Canal del Paretón that diverts the waters of the river bed to the Rambla de las Moreras to avoid danger to the neighbors of Las Ventas.
