There is no doubt that we have just lived in the southeast an episode of historical cold gout.
Luckily, the municipality of Totana has not been affected by torrential rains (with some exceptions).
In the middle zone of the Guadalentín Valley, areas of the Northwest of the Region, the coast of Ãguilas and Mazarrón and Yecla, rainfall has generally fallen beneficially.
On the other hand, in large areas of the community they have exceeded 150 mm.
The most spectacular quantities have been registered in the municipalities of Molina de Segura, Fortuna, Abanilla and in the surroundings of the Mar Menor with more than 250 mm.
The record of precipitation that we know in the Region are the 405 mm fallen in La Matanza de Santomera.
In the municipality of Totana, less significant rainfall has been recorded in the northern part of the city, with quantities of 80/90 mm.
On the other hand, 164 mm have been collected in the urbanization of La Charca and Las Ventas.
The Las Ventas data stands out, where it rained with great torrentiality on Saturday morning, when in 10 minutes 32.4 mm fell with hail;
A real barbarity.
The intensity and distribution of rainfall in Totana has caused that there were no notable incidents in the municipality, since it has not rained torrentially in the headwaters of the ramblas and also in the area of ​​Lorca as it happened in 2012.
Even so, Totana Civil Protection has had to act in some incidents:
- Step cuts of some ramblas.
- Sewer covers.
- Road crawls.
- Water entry into some homes.
- Rescue of a man in the passage of the Guadalentín river.
In addition, on Friday afternoon we moved to Santomera to help in the eviction of the hamlet of El Siscar due to the likelihood of flooding due to the opening of the gates of the Santomera reservoir.
On Sunday we work in Los Alcázares due to the catastrophe situation in which the municipality is located.
