The municipal society for the promotion of industrial land and housing in Totana (Proinvitosa) has been working so that the companies of the polygon “El Saladar” adapt to industry 4.0 through its connection to broadband.
This action will be carried out under the collaboration agreement between the City Council of Totana and the commercial “Teledistribucin Totana, SL” for the implementation of the latest generation systems and solutions in this area.
The Local Government Board already approved at the end of the previous legislature the agreement between both entities in view of the needs raised for years by the businessmen of the Totana industrial park.
This measure will be carried out taking advantage of the infrastructure and channeling of underground services that allow to attend the deployment and laying of access network.
The agreement has a validity of ten consecutive years for the use of municipal infrastructures in the industrial estate that allow the implementation of said project for the improvement of said essential service for the companies located there.
The actions contemplated in this project are aimed at extending the coverage of very high-speed new generation access networks, capable of providing user access speeds greater than 100 Mbps.
As for the infrastructure to be used to carry out the deployment, and taking into account the predominant construction typology of industrial buildings, and given that the industrial estate has infrastructure and service pipelines, the underground laying has been considered mostly.
This project is fundamental to facilitate that in the industrial park that the companies and industries located there initiate the adaptation to industry 4.0, so that the very high speed broadband connections that will be made available to facilitate the adoption of systems and cybersecurity, cloud computing, big data and analytics, robotics, augmented reality, artificial vision, sensorization, additive design and manufacturing and communication solutions for systems connectivity.
The City Council will assign the use of a space (showers and changing rooms) located in the municipal Business Nursery, specifically on the ground floor of the volume of said building for offices and common areas, located in the industrial estate "El Saladar ”, Calle El Limonero, 2, with an area of 7.24 square meters, with electricity supply, whose cost is faced by the Consistory totanero.
