The Department of Tourism of the City of Totana has accounted for 2018 a total of 5,700 visits to the archaeological park of La Bastida and more than 400 visitors to the Tower Museum of the church of Santiago, respectively.

Both visits, which are part of the offer of guided tours in places of tourist interest in the mnicipium, have grown exponentially during the past year thanks, in the case of the deposit, to the extension of days to make the visits (weekends, festivities, and the five academic days) and to the improvement of activities that are promoted to the public as much of teaching collectives, associations and as individuals.

These are composed of dramatized visits that enjoy great success in each of the countries offered - this visit has the particularity of knowing the site through characters that come to meet visitors as the archaeologist Luis Siret, as well as the so-called visits set, which is another formula to know La Bastida and Argaric culture.

During the visits, Argaric women and men, in their daily tasks, delight young and old in a journey in time being the visitors the protagonists, and participating in workshops of prehistoric themes such as percussion, prehistoric hunting and pottery that help to the understanding on the part of the visitors of this period of history.

It has also been significant the change in the procedure to make reservations for the general public during the weekends, given that since last November are made through the Murcia Tourist portal, a platform that allows the reservation of tickets 24 hours a day facilitating the service.

You can check all available dates in the following link https://www.murciaturistica.es/en/visitas_guiadas_gratuitas/ which allows you to speed up reservations and guarantee the presence of visitors during practically all the dates offered.

For its part, the Museum of the Tower can be visited on Fridays for the teaching group and every Saturday morning, allowing all those visitors to know the history of Totana;

combined with the climb up to the belfry and enjoy the panoramic bird's eye view of the town center.

In this case, reservations are made at the Tourist Office, located in Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, telephone 968-418153 or email turismo@totana.es
