Totana welcomes this Sunday, January 27, the XIV Ascent to Morron de Espuña-Memorial Patricia Romero, which will have the participation of 300 athletes, in what will be a tribute to the former president of the Club Senderista de Totana, organizer of this sporting event.
The councilor of Sports, Isabel María Molino, and the acting president of the Club Senderista de Totana, David López Cabrera, have presented this free activity that will depart at 7:30 am from the Constitution Square of this town.
This fourteenth edition takes its name through the aforementioned memorial of the former president of the promoter club, who died at the end of last September;
and which is intended to pay tribute during the day with the organization of several emotional initiatives.
The test has a distance of 25 kilometers and a difference of 1,300 meters;
and a high difficulty for different places of the regional park of Sierra Espuña, with an approximate duration of seven and a half hours.
The departure will be at the door of the Totana City Hall and food service stops will be made: at 10:30 am at the Los Molejones site (a broth with balls will be offered);
at 12:00 in La Carrasca, where an autochthonous tree will be planted in memory of Patricia Romero;
and at 2:30 pm arrival at Morrón de Espuña.
Afterwards, the participants will enjoy a fellowship lunch and conviviality in a well-known restaurant in the town, where a well-deserved memory will also be given to Patricia Romero, with the presence of family and friends.
The club already has closed the chapter of inscriptions, with a maximum of 300 people that is the maximum that is authorized in this type of sports events in the natural park;
although you can still get the bus vouchers located in the Collado Mangueta- offered by the organization to go to the restaurant and the tickets for the food.
The bus prices are 6 euros if you buy the voucher in advance or 8 euros if you buy at Los Molejones;
and 15 euros the food if paid before or 18 euros if purchased at Los Molejones.
In addition, to be able to make the registration you must be federated or make an insurance worth 4 euros that the Senderista Club processes.
