The Association of Rare Diseases D'Genes will deliver its annual awards during the Gala Dinner World Day of Rare Diseases, which will take place on February 2 in Totana.
With the D'Genes Awards the association will distinguish people, companies, groups or institutions that have contributed their bit to improve the quality of life of the group of people with rare diseases or have collaborated and contributed to disseminate the reality of it.
This year, prizes have been awarded in thirteen different categories.
Thus, in the Solidarity Company will be awarded Distributions The Lute, in the Public Institution to the City of Lorca and Solidarity to the writer Marisol Moreda.
In the modality of Volunteering and Social Promotion Félix Sánchez Cánovas will be recognized, in the one of Professional Solidarity to Gema Chicano Saura and in that of Social Club to the Association for Attention to Diversity (ADINOR).
In the Medical Work category, two awards will be presented to José Manuel Guía and Teresa Montero Cebrián, while in the Institutional Support category the CESUR Training Center will be recognized.
The Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users "The Three Hail Marys" of Totana will be honored with the award for Social Collaboration, while Luís María Galán Sánchez has been awarded with the Person or Family courage.
The Prize for the Pharmaceutical Industry will be for Intercept Pharma, the Media for the Mazarrón Hoy website and the World Rare Disease Day Prize will be awarded to the City Council of Alhama de Murcia by the Alhama PMR Project.
