The Local Government Board has recently approved the collaboration agreement between the City of Totana and the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval of this town to organize the activities of the Cavalcade and delivery of letters of the Magi from 2019.
The proposal of the Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, includes subsidizing with 14,000 euros to the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval de Totana for the organization of said cultural activities, whose agreement will be signed by the mayor, Andrés García, and the new president of this entity, Rocío Tudela.
The City Council is committed to provide the necessary technical support from the Department of Culture for the development of this activity and collaborate in the procession of Three Wise Men with the support of Local Police, Civil Protection, Ambulance service and civil liability insurance .
In this way, the Consistory will collaborate with this financial contribution to finance the expenses derived from both acts and will collaborate with the sound for the musical setting of the activities.
In return, the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval will work to boost the delivery of letters to the Magi that will be held on January 4 at the Municipal Auditorium "Marcos Ortiz", collaborating in the decoration of the stage, providing monitors and providing treats and gifts to participating children.
In addition, it will be in charge of organizing the Three Kings Cavalcade, which will consist of a car with the star, three Federation chariots, one for each king, duly decorated and illuminated in accordance with the event.
In each float the kings will be accompanied by the boys and girls selected in the draw for the Royal Mailbox.
It will also provide three tractors for the floats with their corresponding drivers, duly decorated, as well as the treats that will be distributed during the ride of the Cavalcade;
and will animate and animate the Cabalgata de Reyes with six choreography groups, with Christmas costumes, located between floats, which will animate the audience with music and Christmas carols.
Finally, by virtue of this collaboration agreement, puppets of well-known animation characters and the Peña de Carnaval Los Pinchos with their "electric cars" will participate.
