With the start of the new school year, the third edition of the Professional Training Program has been launched in "Auxiliary Activities of Nurseries and Gardens", organized by the Collective for the social promotion of Candil.
This program is aimed at young people between 16 and 21 years old (exceptionally for young people of 15 years of age who turn 16 before December 31, 2017), who have not obtained the Compulsory Secondary Education Graduate.
The full duration of the Professional Training Program is 1020 hours, starting classes in October 2018 and ending in June 2019 (including 120 hours of internships in companies).
The class schedule is from 8.30 am to 2:30 pm.
The classes will take place at the San Roque Neighborhood Social Center (Santa Eulalia Ave., Calvario street).
The contents that will be taught throughout the course are:
Basic operations of production and maintenance of plants in nurseries and garden centers.
Basic operations of installation of gardens, parks and green areas
Communication and Society.
Applied Science.
Technology of the information and communication.
Sport and health.
Complementary activities (excursions, cultural activities, visits to gardening companies, etc.)
Training in Work Centers (Internships in companies for 1 month)
This Vocational Training Program aims, according to the Candil informs in a statement sent to Totana.com, to provide students with the personal, social and professional competences suitable for the work activity of auxiliary in nurseries and gardens, which favor their insertion in levels more advanced of the Spanish Educational System, or else its insertion in the labor market and its subsequent incorporation into active, responsible and autonomous working life.
For the development of this activity, the Collective "The Candil" has the funding of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the CARM and with the collaboration of the City of Totana, through the Councils of Maintenance to the City and Infrastructure , Citizen Participation and Education.
