The Local Government Board has accepted the proposal of the councilor of Social Welfare, Javier Baņos, on acceptance of a grant amounting to 21,534.24 euros for the development of actions aimed at combating energy poverty in 2018.
This aid to the City of Totana is granted by virtue of Decree 154/2018, of June 27, which regulates the direct granting of subsidies to town councils and associations of social services of the Region of Murcia for the development of actions aimed at the fight against energy poverty.
This subsidy is granted for the period between April 1 to December 31 of the same year;
and it is intended for projects for the management of economic aid aimed at those people and families who are at risk or social exclusion.
In addition, this aid will be granted to individuals or families who do not have sufficient income to cover their basic needs, as well as other types of socio-educational activities in the family or community environment.
