The Reina Sofía School becomes the first center in the municipality of Totana to be selected for the development of the "El Cable Amarillo" program.
With 78 points, it is ranked 4 out of the 26 applications registered throughout the Region of Murcia to participate in this educational program raised jointly by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, through the General Directorate of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications.
"The Yellow Cable" aims to promote the use of robotics in schools as an instrument to enhance the logical-mathematical reasoning of students through the use of programming.
Robotics offers a wide range of possibilities to be applied in the different subjects of the ESO curriculum being a transversal element that contributes to the acquisition of digital competence as well as to the mathematical competence and the basic competences in science and technology of the students. .
The Counseling will provide the center with new robotics kits to develop projects and activities in the classroom.
In addition, the center will establish spaces for exchange, dissemination of experiences and good practices in educational innovation among students, teachers and schools in the Region of Murcia.
This new endowment will be added to the existing one in the school and with which the students of Compulsory Secondary Education of our center have already been working during this course for the second consecutive year, being our center a benchmark in the municipality in the use of new technologies, programming and robotics applied to education.
