The Department of Equality and Defense of Collective Rights LGTBI Totana City Council has repainted, finally, two steps of pedestrians with the six colors of the rainbow flag in the central square of the Constitution of this town coinciding next week with the celebration of the Week for Respect and Equality of the LGTBI Collective in this municipality.

Totana City Council has decided to paint two of the five steps originally planned, those located in the Plaza de la Constitución, and desist from the other three foreseen in the surrounding streets surrounding this urban space.

The municipal workers have finished this morning the work of repainting with the rainbow flag in the two accesses, which will remain with these colors until the end of the month and the end of this commemorative awareness program, as announced by Juan José Cánovas.

In addition, each of the colored strips has been delimited, in both steps, with white headers on both sides that simulate lanes or cyclable roads to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians, as specified.

This signaling is temporary and will be repainted in white when the activities organized for that reason end.

This initiative is framed within the actions of awareness and awareness of the Week for Respect and Equality of the LGTBI Collective will be held in Totana from June 18 to 29 with numerous awareness and cultural activities.
