The storms reach the Region of Murcia

Source:

Until now, the Region of Murcia had been left out of the strong storms that affect much of Spain, but today the probability will increase in our area

It is expected that, from noon, the clouds of evolution will grow strongly and discharge storms in the interior, locally strong and hail.

The highest probability corresponds to municipalities such as Moratalla, Caravaca, Calasparra, Cieza, Jumilla and Yecla, that is, the north of the Region, but sporadically they can also fall in more central areas such as northern Lorca, Mula, Sierra Espuña and Vega del Segura

In principle they are not expected near the coast.

At this time there is activated the yellow warning for storms and rains in the Altiplano and in the Northwest, where they can be collected up to 20mm / h and 15mm / h respectively.

The warning is activated between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

It can not be ruled out that tomorrow the area with warnings will be extended.

It is likely that storms will reoccur in the interior areas on Wednesday.

Civil Protection Totana recommends following the updates that may occur and be forewarned if we are surprised by the storms, although a priori, the Guadalentín Valley is not an area where too much rain is expected.
